JISOO, the BLACKPINK member, will release "Addicted," a new solo single from her first full-length solo album, the record that follows ME and the AMORTAGE EP. The single lands on October 30, and in the United States it arrives the evening before, at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday. She put the teaser on her own Instagram account on Saturday and on her YouTube channel the same day, and the promo art behind it is built around a heart-shaped lightning flash against a dark purple sky.
The announcement came in stages. It opened with the logo animation, a flash of lightning drawing a heart across the dark sky before the name surfaced in heavy purple type. On Sunday came a portrait of her peering from behind a curtain that shimmers faintly, bangs down and nails painted black. Monday brought a black-and-white shot with her hair long and straight, and then the teaser video, showing her silhouette in front of the same curtain and giving fans a first taste of the song and of her performance. BLISSOO, the agency behind her solo releases, posted a release timetable for cities around the world, and the same purple has replaced the profile picture on her channel.
BLISSOO calls "Addicted" a sharp change of direction from "Click," the September 4 single. It came with a video by Joseph Kahn shot in an abandoned amusement park in Bangkok, where she plays the last sentient cyborg, and it was about the easy pull between two people who find each other by chance. BLISSOO says it reached the top 10 of iTunes charts in 43 regions. It also appeared on Apple's Top Songs chart in 11 countries. "Addicted" goes darker and more complicated by comparison.
Her solo career began in March 2023 with the single album ME, the AMORTAGE EP followed in February 2025 and then "Eyes Closed," a duet with Zayn and her first official English-language single, in October 2025. Her releases now come through BLISSOO with Warner Records, and the full-length album behind "Addicted" has no date yet.
She has also unveiled a light stick of her own, an illuminated ice cream cone with purple and white scoops, carrying the slogan "Here's the Scoop." It went on sale through the JISOO app on Monday. Her agency says she will return to Korean television music programs for live performances, and "Click" already took its first trophy on M Countdown in September. "Addicted" is the second song released ahead of the album, after the September single, and her agency presents it as another change of concept.
